Study Skills

Thank you for your interest in our Study Skills programs!

The NC State Psychoeducational Clinic offers multiple programs aimed at helping students develop better organizational and study habits, including in-person summer study skills camps, an online curriculum, and individualized organizational skills coaching.

1. Our Study Skills camps for summer 2026 are now open! Study Skills camps focus on helping students develop foundational skills across multiple areas, including organization, reading comprehension, test-taking skills, time-management, and note-taking. All strategies taught are considered “best practice” in the field, and classes are taught using hands-on and experiential techniques.

Study Skills camps are currently scheduled for the weeks of August 3-7, 2026 and August 10-14, 2026. Both middle school camps (grades 6-8) and high school camps (grades 9-12) will be held both weeks. Parents may choose from either the morning session (9:30am-11:30am) or the afternoon session (1:00pm-3:00pm). The cost for each camp is $225. For more information, please see our FAQ document or contact the Psychoeducational Cinic with any questions! To register for Study Skills, please click here.

Do these dates not work for you? Let us know if you would like us to consider opening additional Study Skills camps in July 2026 using this interest form! We may be able to open additional camps with enough demand.

2. Study Skills is now also available online! The online course closely follows the curriculum taught during our summer in-person camps but is entirely self-paced, allowing your child to complete lessons at whatever time works best for them. All lessons are asynchronous. Our online program is open to middle and high school students of any age/grade. For more information- including how to register- please click here! A FAQ document is also available to download.

3. Many families supplement the information taught in our introductory Study Skills camps or online program with the more intensive, one-on-one organizational skills tutoring offered through our ACES program. ACES is available to middle, high school, or college-aged students who might benefit from more tailored and individualized support. This coaching program is perfect for students experiencing organizational or executive functioning challenges that are holding them back from reaching their full potential. For more information about ACES, please click here.
