Researchers in the Applied Social and Community Psychology Program produce knowledge and solutions that serve the public interest by tapping theory and research across the psychological sciences. This is a research-intensive program that emphasizes developing, implementing and evaluating change-oriented initiatives to foster equity and diversity. Courses include applied and basic research approaches to address inequality and social injustice at multiple levels and in multiple forms. Our graduates work in academia, community programs, public health agencies, industry, research and developments settings, government at local, state and national levels, and international institutions.
