Experiential Learning

You’ll have many learning opportunities outside the classroom, whether through conducting research with faculty or as you gain real-life experience through internships and service learning.

Opportunities to Get Involved

Experiential learning is integral to your educational experience, so jump in. Ask your professors about research opportunities. Get involved with the Psychology Club or Psi Chi. Now’s your time!

Psychology Club

The Psychology Club aims to help further each other’s understanding of psychology by fostering discussions through fun activities and events during meetings and around campus.

The club holds monthly meetings and occasional social events. Contact the club at psychologyclub1ncsu@gmail.com or check them out on Instagram (@psychologyclub_ncsu).

Psi Chi

Psi Chi is the International Honor Society for Psychology. Psychology majors are invited to join once they meet the following requirements:

  • 60 graded hours completed
  • 9 graded hours completed in Psychology courses
  • 3.25 or higher GPA overall
  • 3.50 or higher GPA in Psychology courses
  • Class standing in the top 35%
